Above is an infographic I made for the Communication Design Unit of Digital Media at the University of Portsmouth. We were given a historical figure and asked to design an infographic that was either targeted at adult learners or the younger KS2/3 learners. I chose to aim my infographic at the younger demographic.
I used Adobe Illustrator to create every image featured within the poster. These assets can be seen below:
After Effects Animation
The next step was to turn the infographic into an animation around 1 minute long. Using the same assests and a few extra, I created the following animation using Adobe After Effects. This was the first time that I had used After Effects for this sort of project. It utilizes different transition, tracking and other animation techniques and uses sound effects to enhance the viewers experience.
